About Anvil Tyre Centre
Anvil Tyre Centre is run by brothers Daniel and Kyle Wethers, who are the fifth generation of this family to operate their business continuously from these premises for a period of 170 years.
The dangers of part-worn tyres
Second-hand and part-worn tyres might seem attractive because of their price, but 98% of them are sold illegally, and over 34% of them have potentially dangerous forms of damage.
Part-worn tyres are also a false economy. New tyres are sold with 8mm of tread depth, but part-worn tyres could have as little as 2mm on them.
Per millimetre of tread, you could actually end up paying more for part-worns, with the added risk of reduced safety.
Tyres with bulges, cracks, tears or other damage will not work as well as they should.
Anvil Tyre Centre will never sell a second-hand tyre,
and we believe that any tyre fitted to a car should be a new one.
